I’ve spent more than a decade teaching marketers how to be publishers. As one of the founders of the content marketing movement, I founded CMI and Junta42 after co-writing THE handbook on content marketing, Get Content, Get Customers. I travel around the world talking to businesses, in keynotes and workshops, about the need to create valuable media channels, leveraging print, online, in-person and social media platforms in the process.
I’m so glad you have joined us at CMI. I have found that a lot of people understand the whyof content marketing, but they have a lot of questions about how they should execute their initiatives.
I am Vice President & Publisher for Chief Content Officer magazine and associated CMI properties including Content Marketing Institute online and Content Marketing World.
With more than 10 years of media experience, I have spent the past 5 years at Crain Communications, most recently as Senior Account Executive at BtoB magazine/online. My role at CMI is to forge strategic media partnerships and oversee all brand revenue in an effort to better serve both our ever-expanding audience and advertisers.
Creative media strategy is my specialty, and I am always available to discuss exciting ways to reach our audience that really hit the mark.
I have worked as an art director for 15 years both in advertising and the publishing industry. Within the past few years my role has gelled into something a little more interesting, best to be described as “creative marketing director.” In this role, not only do I get to assist with the ideation of new marketing projects, I get to help create them hands-on and work with the CMI staff to ensure we achieve our goals.
I run the day-to-day operations for CMI. If you have any questions about general operations or billing, I’m the one to contact. I have been with CMI since their inception and find the feedback from customers to be the most valuable component of my job. I am also the the contact for any questions or concerns you may have about our premier industry event, Content Marketing World.
I oversee the content on CMI and coordinate with our fantastic group of contributors. If you have content marketing questions that you would like our contributors to answer or if you are someone who wants to write for us, let me know.
I’m a big believer that customer-facing content can transform any business. I’ve worked in marketing for a decade, both as a product marketer for a technology company and as a consultant with companies of all sizes.
I am CMI’s Marketing Director, overseeing marketing efforts for Chief Content Officer, www.contentmarketinginstitute.com, and Content Marketing World, cultivating a community with all of CMI’s properties. I also provides marketing support to the books division and sales team. I have been in advertising & marketing, from traditional to social to digital, as this great industry has evolved.
As the Chief Strategist at the Content Marketing Institute, I help marketers become better storytellers. I lead the client advisory, education and technology practices for the organization.
As a recognized expert in content marketing strategy, digital media and the social Web, I have helped large companies such as AT&T, KPMG, PTC, Petco and Nissan tell their story more effectively through the Web.
My book with Joe Pulizzi Managing Content Marketing is recognized as the “owner’s manual” for deploying a content marketing process. In addition to CMI, I am also a Senior Contributing Analyst with the Digital Clarity Group, and the Chief Troublemaker for Big Blue Moose.

I have worked as a marketer to professional service firms for over a decade and currently run a Boston-based boutique marketing firm: SoloPortfolio. Among other things, we help intelligence-based businesses execute killer content marketing programs.
For the past 10+ years my passion has been helping marketers create smart content marketing solutions that engage and convert. As media sales executive I work with Peter Loibl in helping a wide variety of innovative content marketing solution providers such as agencies, and mobile, social, SEO, media, ad networks and email service providers to market their goods and services to the CMI audience.
I oversee the production of CCO magazine. I am the owner of Execution Matters, a firm specializing in project management for publishers and content marketers. With nearly two decades of experience, I assist clients with their A-Z project management needs in print and on-line. As the former Associate Director at Penton Custom Media, I have helped companies launch and maintain content marketing programs across the country, in a variety of industries.
As the editorial content manager for the CMI blog, I focus on soliciting, writing, and editing articles, as well as helping content marketing professionals develop their insights into actionable advice. My mission is to enable our team to identify the best experts, ideas, tools, and technologies for creating and delivering advanced content marketing strategies and tactics.
I’ve worked in media, publishing, and marketing for over a decade. Through my consulting practice, Jodi Harris Content Consulting, I advise marketers, agencies, and other professionals on the strategies and processes they need to create, manage, and share engaging brand stories.
Lisa Murton Beets
I execute a variety of research and editorial projects for CMI. I work with our strategic, content development, and marketing leads to ensure that we develop products that will be most beneficial to our audience. I am a former B2B journalist/managing editor, editorial/marketing communications consultant, nonprofit communicator, and small business owner. I also have extensive experience as an editorial director/chief editor for a wide range of custom publishing projects.
I am “Girl Friday” for the Content Marketing Institute, and all related CMI properties. In other words you need a project done, I am your girl! My main responsibility is to facilitate all projects in regards to our websites and E-media, including our ebooks, whitepapers and other educational resources. I think my favorite part of the job is learning something new each and every day.
I’m the editor for the Australian version of CCO responsible for sourcing original content for the “Down Under” audience. I live in Western Australia, just outside the most remote capital city in the world and walking distance from the Indian Ocean. I’m originally from Michigan and not nearly as exotic as you might think.
I’m the owner of Global Copywriting where I help clients turn their marketing expenditure into tangible assets. When I’m not writing, I frequently speak on topics related to Content Marketing, Asset Based Marketing, and Social Media. You can find me dishing out practical advice and pondering the importance of design at the Global Copywriting Blog and as a contributor at CMI.
I’m the editor for the European and Slovenian versions of CCO responsible for sourcing original content for the audience on the Old Continent. I live in Ljubljana, the capital of 20-year-old Slovenia. The population of my country is 2 million.
I am a published researcher, award-winning teacher (at the university level), and an experienced journalist, now working in content marketing as a creator and managing editor of custom magazines. I help companies turn their content into printed magazines that are so good that they are genuinely desired by their customers, clients and prospects. I also repurpose the same content for different channels.
I love well-written and engaging stories. I think constantly about custom magazines and content and how to improve both. I collect custom magazines from all over the world and browse/read them daily. Don’t be surprised to receive a call from me at 5 am or 11 pm; it just means I came up with a new idea!
