Whitehead is best known for his most recent novel, The Underground Railroad, which was selected by Oprah Winfrey for Oprah’s Book Club. The novel became a New York Times bestseller and won a National Book Award and Pulitzer Prize. Whitehead is also known for his other novels, The Noble Hustle, Zone One, Sag Harbor, The Intuitionist, John Henry Days, Apex Hides the Hurt, and one collection of essays, The Colossus of New York.
